It’s been a while since I seen the Kensigton iPad Case especially for Kids. Today I get an email with advertising for the iPad Case again.
Thinking about my now 3 year old son, it’s not that bad to have one.
But beside the Kensington Case there are a lot of competitors, like i-Blason and Cooper Cases looking very similar to the Kensington,
but much cheaper.
The actual price for the Kensington case is only €24,00 and therefore the same price as the Cooper one.
After downloading the application from the App Store and activating Bluetooth, in the application the SensorTag can be connected to the iOS device. To enable the connection, the push button of the SensorTag must be pushed once. The LED on the device will start blinking and the SensorTag can be connected now by the application.
Pictures coming soon …
Texas instruments TI offers with the CC2541 Sensor Tag a nice development tool with quite a lot of functions. The SensorTag includes these sensors:
IR Temperature Sensor (TMP006) from TI
Humanidity Sensor (SHT21) from Sensirion
Pressure Sensor (T5400) from Epcos
Accelerometer (KXTJ9) from Kionix
Gyroscope (IMU-3000) from InvenSense
Magnetometer (MAG3110) from Freescale
The complete SensorTag is optimized to low power consumption by TI. When not used the sensors been in sleep mode.
The communication between the SensorTag and the iOS device needs Bluetooth 4.0 and the TI application.
Control your light environment from your iPhone or iPad. The starter pack is available for 199$ and in Germany for 199€ via the Apple online store. I’m not aware of the opportunity to buy them in the retail store, but maybe they have the Hue in stock too.
Light automation without the need for an additional home house bus system like KNX / EIB for example.
KNX is a standardized ( EN 50090, ISO/IEC 14543), OSI-based network communications protocol for intelligent buildings. KNX is the successor to, and convergence of, three previous standards: the European Home Systems Protocol (EHS), BâtiBUS, and the European Installation Bus (EIB or Instabus). The KNX standard is administered by the KNX Association.“
For my iPad one I bought an O2 data package with a very fair price. 200 MB data cost just 10 €.
But additionaly the offer had another plus, the 10€ are only charged when you use the mobile net of O2 in a month.
Otherwise nothing is charged. Unlicely I can’t find that data package on the O2 website anymore.
I’m searching for a data package with approximatly 500 – 1000 MB and 7.2 MBit/s. The datarate should be reduced after reaching the data limit.
No mobile provider had the pay just when you use option.
A fair price for such a data package would be 15 € in my opinion.
One possible offer was from
FYVE – Prepaid Smartphone Surfen für 5,- € im Monat. which is still interesting and worth testing.
Another possible one could be from Congster,
Endlos mobil surfen und günstig telefonieren für sensationelle 9,99 EUR/ Monat. hmm ?!?
First appraisement, it’s again a really good device !
DHL get it again in time – 10:04 delivery. But until now no time for unpacking ;-(
