It’s been awhile since the my last post. Starting with pictures of the magnetic project mat, a very usefull tool.
How often a screw is still left on the desk when the project was reassembled. The mat holds the parts and the surface can be labeld with further information of the parts.
Magnetic deviation is the error induced in a compass by local magnetic fields, which must be allowed for, along with magnetic declination, if accurate bearings are to be calculated.
So it’s a good idea to hold the compass and the torch in different hands !
