Sod’s law:

„the principle that what can go wrong, will go wrong, usually with some observed degree of irony
Sod’s law that the burgers are burned on the outside but raw in the middle“

or Murphy’s law:

„An adage which states that if anything can go wrong, then it will.“

In my personal experience both of them appear more frequently on Mondays.

How to re-create the Show desktop icon on the Quick Launch toolbar

Did I really delete it … ups.

Thanks the microsoft knowledge base it’s back in a few easy steps.

„To re-create the Show desktop icon yourself, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type notepad in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Carefully copy and then paste the following text into the Notepad window:
  3. On the File menu, click Save As, and then save the file to your desktop as „Show desktop.scf“. The Show desktop icon is created on your desktop.
  4. Click and then drag the Show desktop icon to your Quick Launch toolbar.

Information for advanced users

The Quick Launch toolbar uses the files in the following folder:

%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch“

For Vista the folder is:

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Lunch
