Asus Eee – mein erster Eindruck

Homecontrol using the basic stamp – Web or iPod controlled

„In this article we are programming the basic stamp to trigger a remote switch for your home lights or any other power switching device, like a garage door, fireplace and so on. We are controlling it through the web or the ipod (the ipod also has a web browser)“

418 MHz 2 channel RF remote control

„How many times you needed some remote control to handle some electric device ? many times. There are lot of remote controls like infrared, RF, SMS (like my other circuit) and more. The basic small-range remote controls are 2, Infrared and RF (Radio Frequency). One of the weaks of Infrared is that the signal can not pass the walls. So, if you want to control your garage door, the only way is to use some RF remote control. The circuit (transmitter and receiver) use few components and ordinary (I love few component circuits) . Its easy to build it because you don’t have to tune-up any coil or variable capacitor. The RF modules are fix to work in 418MHz area.“

Parallax 96 dpi Serial Inkjet Printer Kit

Want to learn about inkjet printer technology, and apply it with a robot or by waving an inkjet nozzle over a piece of paper? Parallax, Hewlett-Packard Specialty Printing Systems, and Matt Gilliland have combined to produce this unique kit. The hardware and documentation are designed around HP’s Thermal Inkjet 1.0 technology. Using the Parallax Serial Inkjet Printer board, your microcontroller sends a string of serial data which is printed as 1/8” tall characters. Waving the inkjet cartridge over a piece of paper or mounting it on a Boe-Bot produces print-quality text in the font of your choice!“

TeMo – Telerobotics over Mobile packet data services

„TeMo is a tele-operated mobile internet robot. While other internet robots mostly use WiFi (or a nearby PC with an internet connection), TeMo connects to the internet using Mobile packed data services (e.g. GPRS / EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA). The advantage is virtually unlimited mobility for the robot.“
