Pastafarianism or The Flying Spaghetti Monster

I’ve never heard about that until I read an article about an Austrian who wears a cullender on his head for a driving license photo today:

„The Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) is the deity of the parody religion[1][2] the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster or Pastafarianism.[3] In 2005, Oregon State physics graduate Bobby Henderson wrote an open letter about a „Flying Spaghetti Monster“ as a satirical protest against the decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to permit the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in public schools.[4] In the letter, Henderson parodied the concept of intelligent design by professing belief in a supernatural creator that closely resembles spaghetti and meatballs. Henderson further called for Flying Spaghetti Monsterism to be allotted equal time in science classrooms alongside intelligent design and evolution.“

Ig Nobel Prize

„The Ig Nobel Prizes are an American parody of the Nobel Prizes and are given each year in early October for ten achievements that „first make people laugh, and then make them think.“ Organized by the scientific humor magazine Annals of Improbable Research (AIR), they are presented by a group that includes Nobel Laureates at a ceremony at Harvard University’s Sanders Theater.

The name is a play on the word ignoble („characterized by baseness, lowness, or meanness“) and the name „Nobel“ after Alfred Nobel. The official pronunciation used during the ceremony is /ˌɪɡnoʊˈbɛl/ „ig-no-bell“. It is not pronounced like the word „ignoble“ (/ɪɡˈnoʊbəl/).“
